Here are a selection of kind things said about us

"This is certainly a project that our children benefit from...I think it's fantastic".

The Heyday film project has had a powerful impact on the children lucky enough to take part. Throughout the term they showed a high level of engagement and the outcomes were astonishing, from development of empathy and understanding of others' views to the many technical skills needed to produce a quality film. Self-confidence and attendance were also positively affected. We can't wait to get them back.

Headteacher,

Ronald Ross Primary School, Wandsworth

"I wasn't sure about the course at first, but I liked the look of the previous films. I am looking forward to trying it myself, as I have never had the opportunity to do something like this before".

"I loved my time on the Heyday UK film course. I got to learn lots of new camera skills, as well as learning other things like planning ahead, being patient and speaking in front of lots of people!"

"Brilliant. I looked at the children, saw their connection with their work, their pride, engagement and ambition, and saw that these qualities reflected the expertise, dedication and confidence exuded by Jack and the other staff".

Helen Rai

Headteacher

Lady Margaret Primary School, Ealing

"Heyday provide our pupils with a unique and exciting opportunity to extend the curriculum through writing and designing films. The response from children has been amazing - a truly life long memory of their learning has been created. Parents and governors attended the official viewing, presented by the pupils, and were overwhelmed by the outcomes.".

Jack and his team have so far worked with us on two occasions- a promotional school film and also an anti-bullying film created by some of our children. Jack fitted in to our school immediately! He was professional at all times yet also incredibly friendly and built a strong relationship with the children he worked with. The children and staff loved how those he works with become not only the stars of in front of the camera, but also the producers and directors.
While creating the school promo film, Jack was quick to get the measure of our school and work out what sort of promotional film would suit us. His friendly personality meant that staff, parents and children immediately relaxed when being interviewed by him.
During the work he did with some of our pupil premium children, we were impressed with how student-led the sessions were. The children decided the theme of the film as well as the content of it. They had such a sense of pride when they saw their film at the BFI for the Heyday Film Festival. Without a doubt, Jack and his team fulfilled the brief of helping children to improve self-esteem, resilience and confidence.
We have now booked to work with Heyday for the next academic year (and beyond) and can not wait to see what he can help the children achieve.
Thank you!!

I wanted to say thanks to you and the students who made The New Kid. I've been using it as a training aid/discussion springboard for a team of peer mentors I'm putting together as a new intiative in our international school in Switzerland (junior school campus). I would love to promote the idea of some work here to help our third culture kids tell their international stories - which come with a shedload of their own personal losses and life issues.
